Practical Tips to Support your Child’s
Social, Emotional and Behavioural Well –Being

Anna Wood has worked with the National Autistic Society and in Children’s Mental Health. She is a qualified Dance Movement Psychotherapist currently working in a school with children (4 -14 years) who have a variety of needs including ASD and ADHD. She works 1:1 and co –leads on the whole school sensory and regulation programme.
Anna’s presentation will include:
o Effects of over-stimulation
o Use of movement sequencing
o De –escalation strategies
o Experimenting with different sensory props
o Ways in which parents can support their children with sensory issues within the home.
There will be plentiful opportunities for questions and discussion; an opportunity to share your experiences, difficulties and successes with Anna, Claudia, other parents and carers.
A warm welcome and invitation to join Ifield Smile's Support Group for the parents, carers and families of any child or young person with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger's Syndrome/Social Communication Difficulties. You do not have to be a parent or carer of a child or young person attending Ifield School.
