Visit to Cologne

This trip was for pupils studying German, from years 7 - 11. It gave them a great chance for them to practise their speaking skills in the fantastic setting of Cologne.
We visited the Chocolate Museum, where we looked at the history of chocolate and also got to visit the biggest chocolate fountain we've even seen! There was some time for students to buy souvenirs from their visit too. Chocolate Santas were very popular!
Following this we went to have a walk round Cologne Cathedral. The remains of the magi are supposed to be in a golden casket which is on display in the cathedral. In the afternoon, we spent our Euros (and practised our numbers!) in one of the many Christmas markets that Germany offers around this time of year.
