Yr 11 Thorpe Park Trip
Year 11 enjoyed a soggy day at Thorpe Park on Saturday 20 March!!
On Saturday the 20th March 2010, 56 year 11 students of Strood Academy attended a fun day out at Thorpe Park. We left the school at 8:30am on Saturday and arrived at the park at quarter to 10. We all got off the coach and were given an emergency contact number to call if anything happens or if we need to talk to Miss Wood or Mr. Logan, we all then went over to the entrance and were given our tickets. Once we had our tickets we were all allowed to separate into our friendship groups and go off.
We had to make sure that we all went back to the Calypso BBQ bar to sign in and let Mr Logan and Miss Wood know that we were all ok and that we did not have any problems.
Although the weather was not terribly great and there were small rain showers here and there, we all made sure that we made the most of the day. Over all, Year 11 had a great day out and really enjoyed it. On behalf of the year 11 students that did attend Thorpe Park I would like to thank Miss Wood and Mr Logan for arranging it and Mr Kelly, Miss Cooper and Mrs Helme for joining us and giving up their time to help.
