Young Dragons Speakers Competition at BAE, 17 March
I represented the Young Dragons at the Speakers Competition at BAE. My speech was about whether celebrities make good role models which had to last 5 minutes.
There were 6 other competitors from Rochester Girls Grammar and Chatham Grammar. The judges put us at our ease but when I began my speech I felt very nervous and shaky but I managed to deliver my speech and made sure that I spoke clearly. I did feel proud that I entered as this type of competition had not been done before within our school and this competition helped me gain confidence in speaking in front of an audience.
Overall I really enjoyed the experience and know that I will be able to include this in my CV for the future.
