Year 9 Rock Climbing
Year 9 were offered a rock climbing course this term. A group of girls made their way to the youth centre in Strood for a two hour session.
An instructor was expecting them and after setting down few basic rules, he allowed the girls to climb on a practice wall and they played a version of Twister. Girls worked in pairs for safety and really enjoyed the challenge.
Finally they were told to put on rock climbing gear - the tightness of which provoked much laughter. Once ready to climb, girls were hooked and soon climbed up that was when the level of noise resembled the one of Thorpe Parks Saw attraction. The climbing became more difficult as the girls took it in turn to test the different paths.
We all left with a smile on our faces, despite the rain!
