Year 7 and 11 Eco Awareness

As part of their Citizenship GCSE, year 11 Girls taught year 7 about Eco issues that they had researched. The girls had been planning their lessons since September and in groups had selected an Eco issue to raise awareness of for this day.

The year 7 students reacted really well and used what they had learnt to create a Strood Academy Eco – Code to be displayed in classrooms.

The year 11 Girls showed us how to take action over the issue of waste and recycling by designing, making and modelling their own outfits which were shown to the whole year group in a fashion show at the end of the day.
