Voyage à Arras

Our GCSE French students got up far earlier than normal for a day trip to Arras to practise their speaking skills and enjoy some of the festive French culture:

“We had a really fun time in France and we really enjoyed it. We had fun going on the carrousel and we saw some very pretty stuff. The town hall was very beautiful. There were lots of nice stalls and shops that we bought some really nice stuff while we were there and we really enjoyed wandering around Arras.” Heather H 9S

‘’I personally had an amazing timer in Arras! It was so fun and exciting. I made so many new friends that I will keep for a long time! How much I hate getting up early in the morning I didn’t mind this time as it was so much fun! I would love to go again with roughly the same crowd of people, but I would definitely recommend to everyone! Thank you to all the teachers who made this happen.’’ Billie C 9A

‘’I had an amazing time in Arras, and I would love to go again! The scenery was stunning, and I got plenty of pictures for memories that I will keep forever! I made some close friends that I never thought I would talk to.’’ Sian F 90

“The trip was really good best trip I’ve had with the school. Even though it was an early morning it was worth it. If I could go again I would but stay for more than a day” Sophie A 9O

"Wish I could go again it was so fun best trip I have had within this school I love arras 4eva it was a really nice place the people were friendly and the food was divine." Sophie W 9R

“I had a really good time in France; I will definitely go again if I ever get the chance. I got up at 4.30am and was really tired but it was worth it! I made quite a few new friends and had so much fun. It was a beautiful place and they sold some really nice things, I wish we were there for longer. This was the best trip I’ve ever been on in both my Primary school and Secondary school; I’d love to go again!!” Eliza A 9E

“This trip was really good .I would have like to stay for a few days so then I could get to see everything there. It was the best trip that I have been on in my life. I got up at 4:30 but it was worth it for all of that. I had made new friends from other years that went as well.” Shannon 9S

Well done to the students for being such excellent ambassadors for the school and thank you to the staff for putting in such a long day to allow the trip to happen.
