Stunning results for year 11

Our year 11 students have achieved a stunning set of results, with over 70% of students achieving 5 or more good GCSEs and 44% of students achieving 5 good GCSEs including Maths and English.

These results are our best ever. Proir to the Academy opening the pass rate for students achieving 5 or more good GCSEs including Maths and English was 21%, last year this climbed to 29.4% and we are delighted to have reached 44% this year.

Danielle was one of the highest achievers - with all her grades being A*s, As and Bs. She said: "I was really nervous walking up because I wasn't expecting to do nearly this well. Science was big achievement - I got two Bs and I don't know how I did that."

Alexandra achieved A*s in dance and religious studies and a clutch of other top awards. She collected her results with mum, who said: "She really worked so hard. She was study, study, study. I kept saying you need to take a break, but she was absolutely determined."

Georgina achieved 2A*s, 7.5 Bs and 3.5Cs and said "I'm looking forward to joining the 6th form in September as it's going to be an exciting new journey!"

Chelsea achieved 11 GCSEs and was delighted to have performed better than predicted. She was particularly pleased with her Maths result.
