STEM tetrahedrons
On Wednesday, students from the Strood Academy STEM club participated in an after school activity led by BAM construction.
The task was to constructed tethrahedrons using only dowel sticks and rubber bands. The students started making small tethrahedrons (triangle based pyramids), which they combined into larger and larger shapes, eventually being able to stand inside their constructions!
Everybody including the teachers enjoyed the hands on approach and had the satisfaction of manufacturing impressive shapes from simple beginings.
