Springboard Rock Climbing

On Friday 18th of February a group of year 9 students who take part in the Springboard programme, 'Roll on/Roll off', went to Tunbridge Wells to participate in an outdoor session of rock climbing.

This activity has been organised in order to allow the students of the programme to complete their AQA unit award in rock climbing. During the day the students had the opportunity to demonstrate what they had learnt in previous sessions at the Strood youth centre.



On top of the necessary knowledge and techniques, the students have been confronted to the importance of caring for each other in order to make sure the health and safety was optimal. The students demonstrated a great maturity and respect for each other and encouraged the students who were struggling. The day has been an absolute success and congratulations again to all the participants and instructors.
