Sporting Opportunities

The extra curricular PE clubs, here at Strood Academy, have always proven to be a great success in the past and this year should be even better. With the olympics being held in London this year and many more sporting opportunities around both in and outside of school, it's the perfect time for students to attend some extra curricular clubs.

As an extra curricular club attendee for the past 5 years, from my personal experiences, the clubs are definately worth attending and representing the school in competitions always gives me such a buzz. After speaking to some of the current students that attend some of the extra curricular PE clubs here are some of their thoughts on the clubs;

"I think the after school pe clubs are good fun and give students a good chance to participate in sports they love" Georgia, Year 8

"After school clubs are good and interactive for all students" Chloe, Year 10

"I love the after school netball club because the teachers give you more tactics on the game and you also get to play against other schools" Amelia, Year 7

For those students that are interested in the clubs, they are run for an hour after school and there are many different opportunities for students that attend these clubs. If there are any questions about the clubs, please find a member of the PE department and they'll be happy to answer any questions.
