Strood Academy will communicate as frequently as possible in order to keep parents regularly informed about what is happening at the Academy.

Sending written information home, however, can be rather ‘hit and miss’ with letters often going astray on the way! We are also increasingly aware of the environmental impact and the substantial costs associated with the amount of paper and photocopying involved.

The Academy has therefore signed up to a service called ParentMail®, which is used by over 2,000 schools across the UK to communicate with parents by email and text message. ParentMail® will be beneficial to you because:

• Messages will get to you in a more reliable and efficient manner
• The system can send messages directly to mum and dad at the same time
• Important or urgent messages will be sent to you immediately
• We can tell you more about what’s going on at the Academy

Please be assured that ParentMail® is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all information supplied will be kept private. There is also NO advertising associated with the scheme.
