Senior Citizen’s Tea Party

Year7 and 8 Enterprise Ambassadors organised a tea party for the elderly on the 4th May.

This involved entertainment which was provided by some excellent singers from all Year groups and they organised tea and cakes for the visitors. They said they were nervous before the event but said they were also very excited. Bethany said ‘I have been looking forward to this all week’!

Our visitors came from Age Concern and Cherry Acre in Rainham and the Ambassadors did an excellent job setting up the tables and food, serving and talking to the visitors. At the end of the event they all said that they really enjoyed talking to the elderly people and felt very proud doing the event.

Our visitors also praised all the students for the politeness and making them feel so welcome – they want to come again! I would also like to thank Lydia Raven, Natalie Goble and Grace Lidsey who did an excellent job supporting the Ambassadors. We all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
