Operation Christmas Child

We are pleased to be supporting "Operation Christmas Child", and have invited each tutor group to contribute at least one box.
Operation Christmas Child is an initiative that started over 20 years ago in response to the need of orphans in Romania. The project, whereby schools, churches, businesses and individuals make up a decorated shoe box full of gifts for a child in a country where children are unlikely to get any of the things that we take for granted in the festive season is something that Strood Academy is delighted to be a part of.
This year, the shoe boxes will go to children in the following countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Kenya, Kosova, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Montenegro, Mozambique, Romania, Serbia, Swaziland, Ukraine and Zimbabwe.
Please do support our students as they take part in this wonderful initiative. Tutor groups will be creating their shoeboxes during the remainder of term 1 and we will deliver our shoeboxes to the distribution centre in the first week back after the October break.
