Netball Success!

On the last day of term 1, Strood Academy had Netball fixtures against Robert Napier.

All teams worked hard and proudly represented the Academy. A particular well done to the Under 16 Team who successfully won against Robert Napier with a very respectable end score of 18 – 3. The team worked well from the start with an 11 – 2 lead at half time and showed an exceptionally good level of teamwork. Well done to Molly C, Brooke K, Katie W, Danielle B, Georgia R, Emily C and Eva R.

On 2 November, Strood Academy Staff played a fixture against the staff at Rainham Girls School. The team consisted of Miss David, Miss Cooper, Miss Brinning, Miss Brittle, Miss Gibson, Miss Campbell, Mrs Amos and Miss Harrison. The game was very competitive with Rainham Girls School taking the lead in the first quarter. Strood Academy worked hard to pull it back with the score at half time being 16-15 to Rainham Girls. With the game being so close Strood Academy were very pleased with a winning end result of 24 – 20. After this success we are all looking forward to the next fixture.
