Kent Youth me2 Project

We are delighted that we will be running the me2 project at Strood Academy.

Mrs Noble has organised for sessions to be run on Thursday afternoons for the 6th form, interested students can contact her directly.

The project is run by an outside agency me2 (through funding from Children in need and the National Lottery) who come into train students. The skills the students learn will be very useful for working with children, and vulnerable adults. After training the students will be paired up with a local teenager who has additional needs in order to go out and do 'something' which might be ice skating, cinema, youth club etc .....

These young people are most at risk of exclusion and our trained students will be a facilitator in them having a social life! its a really worthwhile activity to do. Any costs are reimbursed for any activities done with regards to the service.
