Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications: FREE!

We are delighted to offer ALAN qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy free of charge to our students and their families.

The Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy qualifications are sometimes referred to as Adult Basic Skills, but can be taken by learners of any age.

They are nationally recognised, stand alone qualifications which enable learners to gain basic key skills in English and Mathematics. YOU can choose a level that best suits your needs and because its ‘on-demand’ you can enter when you’re ready. Two levels are available: level 1 is GCSE grade E and level 2 is GCSE grade B, and the qualifications are worth half a GCSE each.

As learners you can take this course at your own pace and with the amount of support appropriate to your needs. Saturday Workshops will be available and Student Skills Books provided where requested. The Skills Books have been written specifically for learners and are ideal for self-study, building confidence in the key skills needed in Literacy and Numeracy.
