Certificate in Team Leading

Business Diploma students in Year 12 and 13 participated in a Team Leading course, run by a training company called Study Flex. On 2 consecutive days (15th and 16th September), students were put through their paces on a variety of team activities.
They learned about themselves by developing their own personal plans, and engaged in practical activities to identify the skills and qualities often looked for in the modern workplace how be a good team member and how to lead a team. Through building towers, giving presentations and even learning how to count from 1 to 10 in Japanese, students were able to enhance their own skills, preparing them for further study or work. Working on their own initiative, students were also able to enhance their enterprise skills, strengthening the development of our Business and Enterprise Specialism.
Coaching and mentoring sessions raised student awareness of what is now an integral part of many professions and occupations, encouraging students to think about how they might develop others, as well as themselves.
Students will now go on to complete a short assignment leading to the Introductory Certificate in Team Leading, an industry standard qualification, recognised by the Chartered Managers Institute.
