History Trip

image

Rebecca, in Year 9, writes about her History trip to the British Museum:

This term I visited the British Museum with Mr.Knight and some other gifted and talented students. I rather enjoyed our visit, we saw Roman, Greek, Persian, Japanese and Chinese exhibits. I like how we mixed with different years like the sixth formers and younger students, I really felt special being invited to go somewhere as wonderful as The British Museum and seeing artefacts from all over the world.

We also saw mummies in the Egypt section, which was disgusting since there was rotting people in glass boxes but I rather enjoyed it anyway. We enjoyed taking photos with the nude statues of Greek gods and seeing artists drawing the artefacts on display. I loved the little shops full of things like pharaoh ducks.

I would love to be invited again! So if you are invited, I would recommend you go because you’ll miss out on a great opportunity. It’s a great thing being a gifted and talented student so work hard and you’ll be able to go on these exciting trips.
