Dear Parents/Carers

I am delighted to be able to let parents and students know that we have been informed by the Department for Education that funding for our new building has been confirmed following the recent government review. Design and planning work has continued during the summer in order to keep the project on time for a September 2012 opening.

The Department for Education has also agreed to the merger of all students onto the Carnation Road site from September. This will directly affect the 160 boys in years 9, 10 and 11 who will now be educated from the start of the new term at Carnation Road.

We look forward to the summer examination results and will be here for both A levels on Thursday 19 August and GCSEs on Tuesday 24 August to share the occasion with our students and to provide advice and guidance where needed. We wish all students who are awaiting their examination results every success and hope everyone is enjoying a happy and safe summer holiday.
