DisneyLand Paris Trip

On the 1st February a group of year 10-14 students went to Disneyland Paris. We had a great time but it was -4 degrees during the day and down to -8 at night - cold!!!.

During the trip students learnt about how the performers work at Disneyland. We found out how the audition process works and what is expected of the performers at Disney. We found out about how to be a character performer and how to be a dancer, singer and actor in the shows. We also found out about how the parades work at Disney and how the costumes and floats are made. This was really interesting as we learnt how the industry works and how Disneyland works as a performance place.

“My time at Disneyland was far too short for my liking. I enjoyed every second apart from the cold! Every ride was a different experience. My favourite would have to be tower of terror. I remember me, Lauren, Kelsey and Abbie lining up and freaking out. Lauren had never been on this ride and was absolutely petrified, but once it was over she wanted to go on it again.” - Gracie

“I really enjoyed Disney and have some great memories. Draging Mr Parnell on the Indiana Jones ride and hearing him scream was so funny. Danielle was petrified to go on the Tower of Terror, but she conquered her fears and was officially braviour than Mr Parnell! Shona went on space mountian and spent the whole time screaming, but she came off with a big smile on her face!” - Zoe

"Some of the students ate in the Rainforest Café which was really cool. Every night going to the Disney Village was great. I loved looking in the shops and coming out with lots of goodies. I remember that feeling of walking into our room and feeling the warm. The only channel on TV was the disney channel and we all turned into little kids again.” - Gracie
