Baton Twirling Championships Success!

We are very proud of one of our year 9 students who has done incredibly well in the NBTA National Baton Twirling Championships in Devon during the October break.

Danielle has been taking part in competitive events for several years now, and this year has done particularly well!

Her individual events were:
Basic Strut (Preteen Advanced) – 1st place, National Champion 2010
Military Strut (Preteen Novice) – 1st Place, National Champion 2010
Ron Stiff Military Strut Memorial Shield – 1st place, National Champion 2010
Super X-Strut (Preteen Novice) – 1st Place, National Champion 2010
Pom-Pom Strut – 5th place
Fancy Strut – 6th place

She was also part of the following team events with other girls from her troupe, First Impressions:
Pompom Corps – 1st place, National Champions 2010 (for which they also won the principal honour – Best Pompom Performance)
Senior Pompom Team – 1st place, National Champions 2010
Junior Pompom Team – 1st place, National Champions 2010
Military Formation – 1st place, National Champions 2010
Command Marching - 1st place, National Champions 2010
Junior Dance Team – 2nd place
Duet (Preteen Novice) – 6th place
