Batman Charity Climb
On Saturday 24 September, Mr Fearnley donned a Batman outfit and climbed the big crane on our construction site to raise funds to buy and train a guidedog.
A hugely supportive crowd of students, staff, and BAM employees were there to support Mr Fearnley. We started the day with refreshments from the site canteen, BAM had kindly agreed to match the takings on the morning to create a double donation.
We enjoyed the sunny weather as Batman made his way up the 37m crane, stopping every so often to pose, and then making his way across the jib to the end of the top of the crane.
We would like to say huge thank you to BAM for helping organise the event and to the fire service for being there in case Batman got stuck! Most of all, thank you to everyone who sponsored Mr Fearnley - donations can be made in the coming days via student services at the Academy.
