Army Visit, Year 10 Business

image

The year ten business groups got the chance to go to the Army Barracks at Folkestone, when we got there, we were greeted by soldiers who had previously fought in Afghanistan.

image

We started the day with a hardcore warm up, which really pushed us to the limit, the warm up included things such as, running round cones, press ups and crawling around on the floor in mud!

After that we were separated into two groups and went off to see what the soldiers had planned for us.

All the activities relied on team work, physical and mental strength and the ability to have fun! The activities included team building tasks and then an assault course. The soldiers were very welcoming and pushed us to our best ability, they made the day as fun as possible for us all. They even managed to get Mr Hodges involved.

We think this helped our team building skills because we all worked as a team to solve the problems the soldiers threw at us. We all learnt not to shout at each and to work together. Everybody seemed to enjoy the day and we would recommend the experience and would go again!
