Leading our Enterprise specialism, the emphasis is on students' personal development and on the achievement of modern, industry standard qualifications.
The faculty encompasses 2 departments - Business Studies and ICT. Although separate departments, offering discrete courses, they are often complementary in nature. Related to the world of work, opportunities for work-related learning are embedded throughout.

ICT is core and therefore compulsory for all students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Following the New National Strategy at KS3 and a GCSE equivalent at Key Stage 4, students will develop and enhance the skills necessary to support their work in the rest of the curriculum. For those who have a deeper interest, the ICT Diploma at Key Stages 4 and 5, provides an excellent opportunity to study the subject in greater depth.
Offered as an optional subject at Key Stages 4 and 5, Business courses are very popular. Aimed at developing a practical understanding of the skills necessary to be successful in business, the subject can be studied at GCSE level (KS4), or in greater depth through the new Business and Finance (BAF)Higher Diploma at KS4 and BAF Progression Diploma at KS5. Throughout, students will study real businesses. Visits to businesses and visiting speakers are used widely to enhance the student experience. On the doorstep of London and Europe, we are ideally located to develop these opportunities.
